A Better Society Partners up with Avtex

Through a special arrangement, Avtex is now an official sponsor to our nonprofit organization. Their new initiative called AvtexCares will provide the vehicle in which their employees and customers can provide volunteer services directly to our existing projects as well as help launch new ones. One of the first projects to get set into motion will be project \’lin-kij\ – an innovative search model to help communities connect with its services, volunteers, and people in need. A Successful Open House!

A sincere thank you to all who attended our Open House event last Sunday. We had a mix of mayors, community volunteers, city council members, school board members, faith leaders, business leaders, consultants, and community service workers attend. As part of the networking and brainstorming session, we posed five questions to get the creative juices flowing: What we got back filled over 11 flip chart pages!
