7th Annual Give to the Max Day

Thursday, November 12th, 2015 is the 7th annual Give to the Max Day in Minnesota. It is a day when Minnesotans show their incredible generosity by giving financial support to their favorite local charities. It is an opportunity for everyone to make the world a better place. On November 12th, please consider making a donation to A Better Society. Your support will help Project Life-Cycle to provide free refurbished bicycles to hundreds of people throughout the Twin Cities and in countries like Jamaica and Kenya. Celebration of Service 2015

Over 242 students, groups, alumni and adults spent over 46,000 hours serving local and global communities. On October 27, 2015 we celebrated this service. Minnetonka students knitted new born hats, volunteered for community theatre shows, lent a hand at the ICA food shelf, recycled bikes for needy children and so much more. Minnetonka students are passionate about service!

Volunteers serving through A Better Society’s Project KiDS and Project Life-Cycle programs were honored with a Silver President’s Volunteer Service Award. Helping Hands – Jamaica Project

We were blessed to be able to send 26 kids bikes to Jamaica – part of the Helping Hands project. As Tom and Pat Roovers planned their next trip to south-central Jamaica, they reached out to us to provide bikes to kids as an incentive to do well in school or do work in their community.
